i'm 17 i live in Louisiana can i move out of my parents house without thier consent if i have some where to live and prove that i can live in a house on my own

Your parents are your legal guardian until you reach the age of majority, which is 18 in most places. So that means they control where you can live and all that good stuff, in a legal sense.

Realistically, who is going to stop you? You are 17 and probably bigger than your parents. I am not advocating that you should leave because you should try and work things out with your parents, but it is hard to control a 17 year old on a mission.

Yes, I moved out at 16.

i live in iowa so i dont completely know the laws but here if you can show reason too the courts and you can show that you can support yourself (meaning youll have somewhere to live and a job for neccesaties then yes with court permission you can move out)

You have to become emancipated. Read the link at the bottom and it will give you info on how to go about doing this. There are a couple of options.

Not without permission from a court. You could seek status as an "emancipated minor."

You could move out. But it'll be hard. But I also think you have to be out of high school? to move out of your parents house. I don't know excatly

Yes, your parents just legally can't throw you out until you are 18. They don't have to support your either.
