Absolutely not! It is cheating. Plus no one is ever going to learn anything if they are given the answers all of the time. It is selfish of them to ask because they are just mooching off of th the hard work of others. It's pathetic. They should get out their own stinkin text book and study for themselves. (obviously that is one of my pet peeves. lol)

I've helped with homework questions, without doing the work. I've taught high school English for fifteen years. I work with the "at-risk" population, having never taught in a public school. Most kids really aren't lazy, just confused. Usually when young people ask for help (as in how to write an essay effectively), it's because they missed that instruction in school for one reason or another.
Showing someone the proper format isn't doing a student's work, it simply gives the direction he or she needs to do well. If we think about it, most of us will realize that folks like to do well on their own. Succeeding is what keeps us moving forward in life. Have a great day! Annie

Not usually. I think I did that once or twice, when it seemed like someone asking a rather difficult question. Yahoo gives people the chance to ask questions they need help with. In "homework help" we can become a bunch of tutors. Best, though, to give and exampe question similar to the one offered and answer it, instead, thereby explaining how the work is done instead of just giving the answer, now that I think about it.

Yes totally.
What's worse is that you have idiots totally mad enough to sit down & right lengthy replies and do it for them.
Its a good idea to have a bit of help, but you can tell that people (by the way they phrase the question) have not done a thing themselves.
Worse still, I've seen people in higher education post questions wanting people to do all the work for them!

There's no problem with it when they ask in Homework Help.
It's when they ask in other sections that it gets annoying
