I want to know this, because I'm thinking of selling them.

I never sold my eggs, I donated them to families that couldn't have babies. I was paid for time and travel. $6,000 us. They do take taxes out of that at the end of the year.

I have done this 3 times. PAINFUL very very PAINFUL no side effect but I have to think I have helped 3 families bring a little life into their home, well worth it. that is why I did it so many times. I can not do it anymore cause I am too old, they don't want eggs after 31 years of age.

I took shots between 2 and 6 weeks (sometimes I took better than others), they try to get your cycle to match the other ladies, so depends on where you both on for the time. the shots go in your hip, leg and/or stomach they burn and you do gain some weight.

The testing is very intense, and you need to send photo's in. Not everyone is picked. You are put in a system and the parents pick from all the people.

I was picked three times. I sent in pics of me, my mom and dad and my kids so the parents would have a pretty good idea on the looks of their new child.

The company I went through was SPCT seragenat parenting center texas (im sure I spelled it wrong)

This is not just a matter of deciding to sell your eggs or not. You have to go through rigorous testing, AFTER you pass the written questionnaire. Most women, though desperate they may be to have a child at some point, do not want just any egg. Past sexual history, drug use, STD's, partners, etc., all play a role in how healthy the eggs are. The best thing you can do is ask your doctor where this procedure takes place - then make an appointment with them. And please, if you are serious about this, do not lie at any point just to receive the money. It's not as easy as one may think. The extraction or harvesting process of the eggs is very painful, and you are ultimately giving a huge gift to another woman/couple. So, please think about that when you are donating, it's not about the money, it's about a life.

Selling Your Eggs

The value of something is only worth what one is willing to pay for it. The more desperate someone is to have a child, the more money you will be offered. If you just randomly sell them to a lab or physician, you will get less. But remember, the procedure to obtain your eggs in invasive and runs the chance of harming you. And do you really want your unknown biological children running around out there and you have no idea where or to whom they belong? You may need counseling down the road.....take all this into account before you let someone harvest your genetic material.

You get like 2000 dollars... but it's not an easy process. You are on shots for about 5 months, and you need to make sure you would be okay knowing you have a baby out in the world and not being able to raise it. You have to go through a bunch of psychology tests before they even begin the process so they know you won't back out.
