it's a bad attempt at humour underscoring how uncoachable the present bunch of lakers are...
the triangle offense, alas, fell squarely flat inside the arc...

Phil Jackson doesn't know much about Jesus. Jesus can work miracles. He can take a bunch of no talent nobodies and turn them into the best team to ever play the game of basketball. Phil Jackson needs to pray for forgiveness and maybe the Lakers will start winning again.

Phil Jackson worships himself and shows a great lack of respect for people's beliefs and a man who changed the world in ways that no one else ever will. If we are still talking about Phil Jackson 2000 years from now, say this "Give him two of the three greatest players in the world and he'll win a title. Otherwise forget it."
Go to hell you egomaniac.

I think that the comment was hilarious.
I don't think ANYONE thinks that Phil Jackson believes that even Jesus couldn't coach 'em. It was nice to have some frank humor injected into the otherwise drab dealings of the NBA.

It just proves what I've said all along, that Phil Jackson is an overrated coach. Without Shaq or M.J his career would be that of the average coach. Now he realizes what a mistake it was to come back and try to coach the Lakers.

AJ youre a clown, Jordan would never have got 6 rings in a conventional system using bill wennington, cartwright, and luc longley for centers, and kerr and paxton playing defense...that and no other coach in the league could have put up with Shaq and Kobe and that whole deal long enough to get them to all play together and get the three rings they got...do you forget that MJ was in the league a handful of years getting schooled by boston and detroit until those teams got old and they got coach jackson? or that kobe and shaq played together but couldnt mesh until coach got there, had them play with some spacing and utilized the small forwards and an unselfish guard...

Phil is a stupid coach with ZERO skills. HE happened to be in the right place and in the time time. Rode 6 titles with Jordan and 3 more with Shaq. HE shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. He sucks and his coaching skills suck. He picks his places where he knows it will get wins. Phil sucks

Considering he doesnt believe in Jesus I cant see the humor in his comment. There are a lot of people in the world who do believe that Jesus was who he said he was, so I am sure it was offensive to enough people that he will be apologizing soon.
