My husband had a bucket of tools that sat outside through this past winter. I had forgotten about them until the snow melted, and now we have a bucket full of tools that are rusted over. Any suggestions on how to get them clean? They range from screwdrivers, wrenches, nuts and bolts, and some socket wrenches. Thanks.

If any of the hand tools were Craftsman, you can take them to Sears and exchange them for new ones.

Otherwise, use the WD40 and steel wool method. I'd leave a thin coat of te WD40 on the tools as well, to relubricate and help protect them from moisture
