So today is my 5th day of my first week on my birth control pack and I lost the pill down the drain.......I've been on birth control for about 4months and I have never missed a pill.......wats it ok wat I did......I took tomorrows pill today do I just continue taking them normally? And wat happens wen I finished my pills will it affect that I didn't take one please help me thanks in advanced

If you've got a triphasic pill (not all of the pills contain the same sort of medicine), taking a new pill of the same kind from another pack is probably your best bet. Don't double up now that you took tomorrow's pill today... take today's pill (from the other pack) tomorrow. Taking triphasic pills out of order is a recipe for spotting and lowered effectiveness.
If you're on a monophasic pill (all the pills are the same dosage), I'd say you could probably just continue to the end of the pack and on the last day, take pill one of the new pack. The problem with this is that you'll end up having all your packs be one day off, and it may confuse you.

It has been many years since I've been on the pill, but I'm pretty sure you are okay. Depending on what type of pill you are taking, there is a week or so of placebo/sugar type pills. And depending on your sexual activity. I think the best thing to do would be to call your doctors office, talk to the nurse, if it's a really big deal then I'm sure they will more than gladly give you a remedy to the missing pill. :-)

That is what i would have done. I think it is better to miss your very last pill than to miss a pill in the first week. I am sure you will be fine and get you period as expected.

go ahead and take the next pill today and continue taking them regularly till you finish the pack, you'll be finishing the pack one day earlier which is of no significance.

it was OK. The only thing will be that u wud be one day short of course & that in the last wont make any difference other than that ur period may come a day or two earlier .
