The answer to this question is far more complex than one would think. There are many factors to consider. Factors such as: What is the diameter of the hoop? How many marbles are in it? Do you live north or south of the equator? How far from the equator do you live? What is the circumference of your waist? What is the circumference of your hips? Are you a hip hooper or a waist hooper? What is the velocity of the wind if you are out doors? Are you trying to keep it up for a long time or are you going for a speed record? Are there others in the room that would laugh or cry while you performed this feat? Do you live near the ocean, which one, and is it high or low tide? I could go on with all the factors but it is at that point you would be able to make an accurate calculation.
