my labtop was working fine..i cut it off and the next hour or so i tried to get on it wouldnt power up...so i plugged it in for bout 8 hours and it still will no come on..but wen u plug it in the light for that comes on...someone plz help

Can your hear a start up noise, as in the light turns on and the fan can be heard etc. If sound it sounds like you have a damaged screen which can be replaced.
Sadly with no screen , or potential running of the operating system no automatic troubleshooting can be done.
My advise would then to simply take the system to a specialist shop to be looked at.
If it has warranty left, use it.
Also try to launch the laptop with out the battery in the system.

Really, all you can try is taking the battery out and trying to power it on with just the Power cable plugged in.
Then put the battery back in, often times that's all it takes.
If that does not work, then you will need to give us more details, such as the model number of the computer, if anything that you have plugged in is loose, that type of stuff.
