Define ghetto...?
She sounds like someone I would be proud to call my best friend or my daughter.

Do you think your ghetto or what? You can't even spell ghetto, I live in the ghetto but I don't go around saying I live in the ghetto, so I'm ghetto. Just because your family is still together doesn't mean she's not ghetto. If only Ebonics taught more than just teaching kids (mostly black) how to talk proper. Well to me she can be ghetto, she's just the one that will make it OUT of the ghetto.

Um.. no i would not call this girl "ghetto". I am not going to ask you to define ghetto cause I know what you mean. Of course you are not ghetto. You are a very smart girl. It doesn't matter where you live, you sound like you are living your life right. Be proud and anybody who calls you out is ghetto!

ghetto to me is someone who uses the system and takes but doesn't give. Those do not sound like the traits of the person you are describing. It doesn't matter what kind of clothes you wear or the way you do your hair or even where you live that defines you as a person. I believe it is your actions in life that really defines who you are.

Uh ghetto? Like some stereotypical 'trash' from Queens, or Oakland? Who cares about class, color, or origins? Sounds like a stand up citizen, might it be you, or someone you know? Be proud to be unique, and different. And I'm positive you don't need ME telling you that 'keep your chin up' crap!

This girl seems like she has her head on straight and knows that no matter what cards you were delt it matters on how you play them. This girl sounds like she knows what she is doing. Even though I grew up in the suburbs of Massachusetts I have friends that have been put down due to where they came from.

No, I would consider her a girl with good role models but not a lot of money. She will probably go far in life; if she stays on track with her goals and beliefs and refuses to get caught up with "ghetto" friends.

HA, of course since you are referring to yourself, You are very intelligent, You knew the answer to this question before you even asked it. You are far from ghetto. You are an asset to society and should be very proud. Now i ask you, Why did you ask this question knowing the answer? why did you need reassurance? You'll have to forgive miss Dixie, it seems as though she somehow forgot people are not perfect.
