Ask your doctor first but generally yes you can. Do you need to? Maybe, maybe not. Pregnancy demands more calcium, diet is the best place to get it. (better absorption, less risk of overdoing it) If you get too much calcium you run the risk of kidney stones. Dairy has the most calcium, you may be able to handle yogurt and cheeses, don't know how bad your lactose intolerance is. Other calcium food sources are:
food/serving size/calcium content
Sardines in oil (with bones) 3 oz 370
Canned salmon (with bones) 3 oz 170-210
Broccoli 1 cup 160-180
Soybean curd (tofu) 4 oz 145-155
Turnip greens 1/2 cup, cooked 100-125
Kale 1/2 cup, cooked 90-100
Corn bread 2 1/2-in. square 80-90
Egg 1 medium 55
Calcium-fortified food (bread, cereals, fruit juices) 1 serving Varies

Remember that vitamin D is important as well!

Good luck.

Oh wow... is that what the little white marks on my finger nails are? Heh, I've gotten them all my life, never knew lol... well I guess I'll start drinking more milk then lol.... As for your question you should really discuss it with your doctor. You should already be on prenatals and that should have more than enough calcuim in it... perhaps your body is not absorbing it right?

when it comes to pregnancy question, my best advice is to seek the information from your OB/GYN
