Im going away for 3 days. I feed my 7 turtles twice a day, once in the morinin n once in the evening with turtles food sticks. they are rather used to this routine for a few years. I couldn't get a nanny for them (which all my friends claim im being redudant), and i have no idea wat to do. I will feed them in the morning before i left on a friday, and i will be back sunday night. Should i take the risk of letting them go without food? or rather, can i do that?

I have 6 turtles who stays together. Can never throw any food there for them as they will snap up the food in no time. That is what worried me most.

well, thanks you "fellow turtles mates" help. At least it sets my mind at ease that there are people out there who faced the same situation as me.

when turtles hybernate they go without food for a very long time they will be just fine or you can leave them with food but if they dont eat it by the time you get home you might not want to come back eeeeeeewwwwwww.
if you let them go when you get home put lots of food in there and they will make up for what they havent eaten i had 20 box turtles at once and i was always confused 10 out of 20 didnt want to eat then when the ones that ate didnt want to eat the other ones would this wont hurt them just make sure they have plenty of water

They can be fine, but I would put some feeder goldfish in with them if you're so worried. The fish may be fast, but if the turtle is hungry it will get the fish.
Finding a turtle nanny is not redundant, its a very good idea. That way they will be cared for properly.
If you have a timer, you can hook it up to your lights and you will be able to leave and not worry at all! I'm very used to this. If I leave for any ammount of time my mom usually has to take care of everyone (1 water dragon, 1 western painted turt, 2 russian torts, 7 hermit crabs, and an iguana) and it all goes to hell. If I put everything on a timer, then I dont have to worry as much because all she has to do is put some food in the tortoise cage.....

Easily. If your turtles have been well cared for up to now, there's no reason they can't do without food for a 3 day period.
Feed well before you leave. Feed well when you get back. Put the lights on a timer so they have a day/night cycle. You won't have to leave anything for them in the tank - plus, it any fish die and aren't eaten, you'll come back to a mess!

see if any family member around you can help take care of them. Maybe you could also use automatic fish feeders. they let food out at a certain time, that might work. maybe a bording facility for pets can take them for while yo are gone, or call the local humane society to see if they can help[ and point you in the appropriate direction. good luck

they can go a few months with out food and still make a come back. Your turtle will be fine. If your worried about it you can buy a few feeder fish for their tank and when they get hungry they will eat them.

You will be fine I leave mine a couple times a year. Although don't get them feeder goldfish, they are not good for them get the guppies. I was told by my vet that goldfish have too much nitrates and that it can constipate you turtles. She said never feed them goldfish. They like the guppies!!!

You should get a nanny. But if you can't, get small plastic tubs to separate them and leave a little food. Don't worry, if they're not together they'll be fine. If they are they'll fight.

What i used to do for my turtles, was leave about 2-3 goldfish per turtle in the tank, and also i would leave some mealworms on a rock so they can easily access them. they should be fine, turtles are tough.
