Don't ask don't tell is a good policy. Homosexuality may not have any bearing on a soldiers ability to serve but it can create an environment of distrust perhaps, from soldiers that are uncomfortable with it. I can only suppose that a lot of animosity for homosexuals in the military comes from old biblical stories and the need to have God on your side, especially when you are at war. That's a guess. Not my place to say if it's wrong or not. I think part of the problem is how "in your face" some people can be about homosexual "rights". I don't have a personal problem with them, but even if a guy was obnoxius and all in my face saying things I would totally agree with, I would get pissed. Tone it down homos and you'll find people more accepting.

I'm strait, and in battle if my life was on the line and it come down to the guy saving my life ..being gay wouldn't even enter the equation...what would is whether or not he's a expert marksman and could put a bullet through some guys skull before somebody put one through mine. Everybody seems to think gays are just plotting to jump someone when they turn their back....I don't think it quite works like that and you need to get educated and get over your insecurity issues. You never know the life they save might be yours!

The gay soldiers need to know who is and isnt gay... thats about all.
It is best that they dont have any sexual relations with non-gay soldiers.
Finally, it is especially important to ask first before having sexual relations with anybody - gay or not.

Discriminate much? I guess you can't control your desires when in a situation with many women? Don't compartmentalize other people's lives. If our gay soldiers can't control their impulses, they wouldn't be there. Further, what about the straight men? Does abstinence make them dangerous, too?

Ok I am not for gay. Ok lets make it clear about that.
Would you be happy if the military wants to know who all you had sex with and how many times you made out with your wife or girlfriend so that they have a record?
You all talk about invasion privacy. This is also invasion of privcay. Its ugly to talk about somene's personal matters. Its indecent and talking about these in a holy place like a church is the worse thing we do to GOD.

You know. You almost sounded like you had a good point going then you opened your mouth. No, the military should not know who is gay.

What difference does someones sexual preference make? I don't see how you can pass judgement on those fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world, just because of how they feel. Are you currently out there fighting for our freedom?

If you really believe in that stance then you MUST also believe they have to separate based on preference of missionary vs doggy style....otherwise you're a hypocrite

I am not gay and do not really know any gays but from what I have heard, they can be quite useful and are sometimes quite intelligent and should be allowed to serve. Their should be zero tellerance for lewd behavior though.

A person's sexual preference is no one's business. By the way, I hope that's not really a picture of you.
