I remember reading or hearing somewhere that when children eat their boogers that is is actually healthy? Is this true and does it work for older people too?

i think you read about how it exposes children to small amounts of bacteria... and by exposing ones self to a little at a time they become immune to it, and the larger doses, therefore getting sick less... I remember hearing that one myself

That's ridiculous. Boogers are made of mucus and airborne particles. If there are particles of vitamins and minerals floating around out there, then, yes, it could be healthy to eat ones boogers. However, this is not the case. That is what the mucus is for, to trap those particles, (both in your nose and mouth), and keep those particles from entering your airway. Boogers are not good for you, don't go there. (On the other hand, they probably won't hurt you).

Yes! Eating your boogers is a healthy alternative to eating meat, vegetables, fruits, grains, and other such nonsense. I recommend you begin the ABD (All Booger Diet) as soon as possible. Good luck with that.

I heard the same thing. I've been eating my boogers everyday for the past 5 years. I haven't been sick AND I've lost weight. Boogers are a miracle cure. You can even rub them on your member to make it grow... you should go for it any time the mood sticks you

I don't know about healthy but all the snot is, is dead white blood cells and what ever it picks up when you breath. "Boogers" is nothing more than dried snot. I don't see how this could be healthy but I also don't see how it would be so nasty to eat them unless you're doing it in public.

umm i would imagine its not healthy because booger are waste from the air thats collected from ur nose hair, ur nose hair filters out the bad from the air u breath, so i would assume its not healthy at all but it wont harm u either, alota kids grossingly eat their boogers

Boogers and snot is waste that is supposed to come out of your body. Just like feces and urine.

Waste is meant to be put OUT, not put back IN, of course it's not healthy!

Yes, absolutely. Like mother's milk they contain antibodies. However, never, ever, eat someone else's boogers.

Um... no. This is dumb. That's nothing but dirt. There's no telling what's in there. Your body went to express effort to filter it out - why would you now go and ingest it?

P.S. Gagging at the thought.
