The Sox won the World Series in 2005 for the person above me
it would be like this
Dr. Peter Venkman: This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions.
Mayor: What do you mean, "biblical"?
Dr Ray Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath-of-God type stuff.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Exactly.
Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria

I wouldn't mind that at all. However, since i'm Detroit, i'm gonna say that the Chicago White Sox don't have a chance in H-E-double hockey sticks to get to the World Series. Why? They gotta get past the Tigers! The road to the World Series still goes through them. Respect the game, kid.
But if that does happen, i'd tune in! No doubt about that! Two rivals from the same city and different leagues? My $ would be on the Cubs because they are the underdog and everybody loves the underdog because of the mystique that they carry to really have a want and need to grind it out. Besides, the White Sox already have one. To my knowledge, that happened in the '99 World Series between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. It was dubbed "The Subway Series." The Yankees won, 4 games to 1.

Yes. This would be huge. Cubs! Cubs! Cubs! My reaction would be to win more division championships, win more NL championships and more World Series Championships. The Cubs would have to win atleast 3 to be considered to be a dynasty. Now that would take the cake. Yankees are still the #1 team in the world.

This question is not as far gone as that Pirates one, but it's slightly improbable. It would be the best thing to happen to baseball since 1998. Can you imagine two teams that haven't won the World Series in a combined 100 years. That would be something to see, but I don't think the Cubs have the team to do it this year. Sorry.

well, i would admit, i think it would be one of the most-watched events of the year. but they wud have to play somewhere other than Chicago, since if its the White Sox vs the Cubbies, the city would be burned down by the start of Game 3, so plan on watching the Series in Florida if you wana see that series!

I would be happy. Granted I pull for Subway series every year. But I like the cubs, they are not my baseball team but that was not part of the question.

I imagine that would be something to see, even though I'm not a baseball fan. It would be like if the Giants and the Jets played each other in the Superbowl.

it would be amazing for people within chicago just like the subway series in new york
but if it would be a boring series like when the bosox won then it would be terrible for everyone else in the nation
