So for some stupid reason, i started with the dark blue pills of my tri-cyclen instead of the white. Will it mess me up with my cycle, and or can i get a risk of getting pg? I have tried calling the office where i get the pills, then ended up having to call another "sister" place and now im waiting to hear back from the nurse. please help

I went to my doc and found out that i had to stop taking the pills. They ARE NOT the same, and taking them wrong will mess you up. I then had to take plan b and then start my pills again after i have my next period in two weeks.

Use a second form of birth control. The last row of birth control are sugar pills, meaning they have no hormones in them. The pills are not consistent with tri-cyclen. They are tri-phasic, meaning they have three different levels of hormones depending on what week you're taking/what color, and they end with the placebo pills. These placebo pills, which you started with instead of ended with, do not contain the hormone doses that make birth control effective. My personal suggestions is DO NOT take chances. Use a second form of birth control for at least a couple of weeks. But you could also speak with your gynecologist.

It doesnt matter, color coding has no bearing on whether you will get pg or not.
