It was on 1-800-TELLME around election time. They were wanting people's views on all kinds of political subjects. Most people went on to just talk to others. That may be part of why it got canned.
I was just wondering if anyone was because I was.

People used to stand on old wooden soap boxes (boxes that soap came in) on the corners and spout their views and opinions loudly and to anyone who could hear. They didn't care who agreed with them, they just yelled over the top of everyone, and went on and on. So in the modern day sense, it means someone who is being very self rightous in their view, very vocal and forceful about their views.

I wasn't on the one you speak of but we had our own version here and it was called Speakers Corner. Same thing and people just showed up and acted dumb so they took it off the air. Too bad because they were lots of people who made appearances with real issues and well thought out presentations. Once again, the goof balls ruined it for everyone.
