This should be part of the replacement procedure on strut replacement to restore alignment. Ask the shop specifically to make sure because it needs to be done.

I would depend on a good shop to do the repair work. If they say you need to go to another shop for an alignment, then I'd do it. You should ask them about your front CV drive axle boots and whether they may be split and needing replacement at the same time. Also ask them to replace your upper strut isolator bearing mounts.

not all garages can perform alignments. when changing any front end component an alignment should be done. if the garage that is replacing your struts is a reliable garage they should be able to have this done for you. if not go to a garage that can perform both tasks.

a good idea to do that. not always necessary if it is put together as close to the same setting as before. If it is not aligned, be sure to keep an eye on tire wear, and it tire wear is noticeable, then alignment will be necessary.

relies upon in case you replace the whole strut assembly or R&R and turn out cartridges. to boot, no one is going via e book time on a 2001 that's all rusted up. i might swap them out and positioned Monroe Quik struts in for $seventy 5 a edge.
