I think there are enough dentists, it's just that they all went private to get more money and so there aren't many NHS dentists around. I live in a little town, population about 2000 and there are 4 dentist surgeries that I can think of in our High Street!!

There is only a shortage of NHS dentist, if you are prepared to pay the extortionate private dentist there is no problem and you can be seen the same day

Would YOU want to be a dentist???
I worked as a dental nurse years ago.....imagine...training for over five years and then spending your days looking at people's smelly, decaying teeth!
Being a children's dentist might be OK, or a dentist just of those with healthy teeth.....
But otherwise - even though it's quite highly paid, I would not want to do it.
