It has been said that Henry Ford brought about the “Age of the automobile” in the United States. How did he do this?

By starting the Ford Motor Company and making automobiles more accessible to more people. Despite various problems with how he treated employees, he employed a whole lot of people in a new industry.

As more and more people bought cars, this lead to the need for improved roads, and improved roads lead to changes in business, providing greater access to "stuff" for consumers, and making businesses change their locations to be near roadways.

The oil industry took off after the auto became more common. So did air pollution, but that is another story.

Henry Ford did not invent the automobile. Henry Ford invented the assembly line. This allowed one person to do one job and get really good at it until they could do it really fast. This means cars could be produced more quickly, lowering the price. Lower prices meant more people could by cars.

Mr Ford introduced one of the first if not the first viable mass production line, at least for automobiles.

He made the automobile financialll available to the average American. His model T was affordable and reliable. He used innovative mass productions to accomplish this. He also said you can have a model T in any color as long as its black

By creating a process by which cars were manufactured in an assembly line whch was efficient, and made autos reasonably affordable to the public.
