You know there is no instant fix for obesity. You have to WANT to lose weight. Drugs alone will not do it for you.

I took Xenical for about a year and it was the worst thing ever. I had terrible side effects, horrible diarrhoea and stomach cramps. I lost weight for the first few months but after that it tailed off and my weight stayed constant. Ask your dr about Acomplia, its quite new, i'm taking it at the moment. Its like sibutramine in that it surpresses ur appetite but doesnt affect ur bloodpressure like sibutramine does. I'm really seeing results its great. But remember its not a wonder drug, nor is anything else, if you really want to lose weight and diet and exercise its a real help, i learnt that the hard way!!

Good luck with the weight loss, i know how u feel hun, i've been tryin to lose weight for 10 years, i'm a size 26, and sometimes it really gets me down. Ask ur Dr about Acomplia though its worth a try!

I was on Xenical, and as long as you take it properly and be sure to eat a low fat diet, it works a treat.
If you have to much fat in your diet, then it will cause an urgent need for the loo! When you have a poo, the excess fat comes out as well like oil.....too much fat and you get diaorhea.....badly.
If you keep to very low fat, like I said before, it is very very effective.
I would also advise you ring the helpline, the details are all on/in the box. The nurse rings you regularly and checks that everything is OK and gives lots of useful help. They also send you really good stuff in the post.
Good luck, I hope it works for you.

Well done for making the first steps to losing the weight.

My mums been put on them by the doc shes lost 2 stone in three months there good you will only get them for six months from the doc then you have to loose the rest yourself and if you eat fatty food they make you run to the loo and it gets rid of all the fat going in to your body you have to start trying to eat healthier to you cant just rely on the tabltes my mums doing well were all so proud of her she started at 18 and a half stone, Just remember you dont have to diet to the extreme i live with my mum and we eat the same things nows and 1 day a week she can have treat like a chinese or take away it not what you eat it eating in moderation and dont worry about losing it all at once it wont happen like that but what you have to remember is it's not what you haven't hoped to loose that month that counts it what you have lost, just relax and enjoy your diet Good Luck!

Listen drugs are a load of shite, take it from someone whose just lost a lot of weight. It takes plenty of will power, exercise and strictness!

Id reccommend "lipotrim," its a diet where your only allowed 3 healthshakes a day and about 30 minutes exercise a day, ive lost 3 stone in a month.

now im a new person i love eating healthy, exercising and still enjoy socialising like a mother f***er!! But you really need to WANT to do it.

I Know how hard it can be, took me ages to overcome it but well worth it in the end. . .BEST OF LUCK!!!

if my medical knowledge serves me correctly, this chemical stops the body absorbing fat and you excrete it, however if you continue to have a very high fat diet you will find yourself having trouble controlling your bowel movements . so i know it works if you follow a very low fat diet and you have no lasting or embarrassing side effects if you follow a diet, it does not suppress your appetite like other drugs.
its about a change of lifestyle, i have lost two stone in 2 months and 12 inches around my body have disappeared so you can do it also. i advise you to take up some form of exercise as it really helps.

Please please please dont take Xenical - it is really disgusting. I toiok it and had dreadful side effects from it and didnt see any serious weight loss. You can lose weight without diet pills ... please.

You do have to alter your mindset and realise it will take time with or without the pills but really do yourself and your family and friends a huge favour and do not take those tablets unless you want shares in a toilet roll company.

THEY ARE BAD!!

Ive taken it and all it did was give me terrible diaoria and i still ended up heavier than i started. I am convinced the only way to lose weight is to use more calories than you are taking in ie exercise.
