Okay I sometime call it "selective hearing" but I can be doing my work and the teacher is calling out names and I can't hear when my name is being called even she's pretty much yelling or if I am talking to a friend I can't hear the person 5 feet behind me talking to me. I don't think I have a serious hearing problem because i've been to get my hearing checked and it's just fine...I think...am I just one of those people who can only focus on hearing one person talking at a time ( kinda weird since i LOVE to talk)?? I'm 16 btw

Sounds like your focus on something gets in the way of hearing other people. I think it's pretty normal.

selective hearing is not a hearing disorder. you just hear what you like to hear. like if you are in an argument, instead of listening to the other person, you are fishing out words they say to use against them later

I've been living with the same "problem" all my life. It's not your hearing.
