I was doing aerobics at the gym last week when I noticed my right knee feeling weird. I stopped exercising and later in the evening my knee kept feeling more strained. I still haven't been back to the gym and just figured I pulled a muscle. It's been a week now and my knee still feels the same way. It's sore and feels like a torn muscle. A couple of days ago I first noticed there is a place in my upper right buttock that is extremely sore. Are the two places related to the same injury perhaps? The pain on my knee is on the top inside left side of my knee. Pain only hits me with certain movements. What is this? and how can I get better and get back in the gym?

go to a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathy) they can prescribe you meds for pain/inflammation AND adjust you just as a chiropractor would. just make sure that the D.O. actually practices O.M.T. (Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy)

it could be your spine out of alignment. That always feels like my butt or my hip when my spine is out. Or do you have flat feet? That can cause your joints to turn inward and hurt your whole leg. Orthodics fix that...

I would go to a chiropractor or an MD and let them look at you. I would strongly encourage the chiropractor because bones and muscles are their specialty. Some people think they are hokie... untill they go. My fiance is a mechanic and hurts his back sometimes so bad that he can't stand up and he goes to the chiropractor and is back to work that same afternoon. An MD will just give you Rx's and tell you to lay down for a week...

I have the same problem but on the right side. I am currently in physical therapy. I hurt like this when my SI joint is out. It can become very annoying. A trip to a PT and you will be amazed how well you feel.
