Marvel. Superman's great, sure, but more often in Marvel comics we have emotional issues dealt with-Spider-Man's memories of Gwen Stacy's death being one prime example, and don't even get me started on the Hulk. These make the characters more realistic, even vulnerable at times.
And besides, Marvel has more interesting powers. Sticking to walls, claws and a mutant healing factor, control over magnetism...versus flight, invulnerability, and heat vision (Supes), lots of gadgets (Batman), and bracelets (Wonder Woman). I dunno, Kryptonite's a bit too cliche by now.

my favorite Marvel character is Wolverine he's just the best there is at what he does and what he does is kick a.s.s. and lots of it. I was never a big fan of DC I just think that Marvel is the way better company they have better characters and they seem to invent new ones all the time and they don't seem to recycle the same 4 characters over and over again,

It all depends on all kinds of concepts. I always had a preference toward DC heroes but in later years I grown to love Marvel as well. With DC you have the seven staple heroes that we all know and love, plus countless other, but with Marvel there are tons and tons of them to choose from. I look at thier back story or origin story like the one of Batman, Superman, and Spiderman are the three that come to mind.
Batman is a great hero because he uses his head instead of just relying on brute strength unlike the man of steel, superman. Batman has a truelly heartbreaking origin story of how his parents get shot and he vows revenge, dawning the cowl and cape and so on. Superman the last son of krypton who just flies in and get the job done in a matter of minutes. My favorite out of the Marvel side has to be Spiderman because one and all can relate to him because he imself is a teenager who struggles with both saving the world, school, and love interests just like many out there. So here is my favorite lists out of Marvel and DC.
DC - Batman
Superman
The Flash - he is fast
Green Lantern - powerful but yet as to think.
Marvel - Spiderman
There are many many more to choose from but so little time to name them all.

Nathan Charles Christopher Summers -Grey
He is Cable in X-Man and was X-Man in the Age Of Apocalypse.
His X-Man persona sacrificed himself to save the planet.
His Cable persona is in a constant battle to stop Apocalypse.
They are never to busy to help the little guy and, with vast TP & TK abilities (plus the potential to harness the Phoenix Force), they are caring/comapssionate people
Morg
oh, and I'm my next favorite. I kill Galactus' heralds for fun and sport .. that's why Galactus empowered me.

Gambit. He's just too cool, he's hard to describe. He's just so naturally appealing.
I mean, he got with Rogue, can blow stuff up, was a horseman of the apocalypse and has a pimp stick :P

Wolverine because he once walked into a jungle camp of militia guys who were hosing him down with machine guns from every direction and he just picked them up one or two at a time on his claws and just threw them into a big dead pile.

For Marvel:
Spider-Man just because he's like a modern day ninja...
For DC:
It's gonna have to be Green Lantern since there's almost nothing he can't do with that ring.
