gilmore girls question?

do you think the 7th season of gilmore girls is bad? because seasons 1-6 were great but the creators left and the show has gotten sh**tty. Lorelai and Rory act like wanbees of who they use to be. plus the pop cluture referces they put in are things you actually know. they talk about gwenth paltrow and top chef and john and yoko. who hasn't at least hear of these people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not as good as it was in previous years, but its not bad. I still like it and I will continure watching it. I am glad that Emily and Lorelai are getting along and that Luke and Lorelai are most likely getting back together, It makes me HAPPY

I agree with you (and the two answerers before me) completely. Gilmore Girls used to be such a great show, with unique stories and characters as well as witty scripts, but now it's just become another soap opera. It seems like the writers have completely run out of ideas, because they just introduce one silly, over-dramatic plot after the next (like Luke having April, April moving to New Mexico, Lorelai marrying Chris, Lorelai divorcing Chris). I still watch the new Gilmore Girls episodes weekly and it's still my favorite show, but honestly, I enjoy watching my DVDs from previous seasons a lot more.

I know there are a lot of Gilmore Girls fans who want an 8th season, but personally, I think they should just end it now before it gets worse. And if they end the show this year, hopefully it will end with a classic Gilmore Girls moment between Lorelai and Rory, and not a soap opera-ish one or some mushy wedding scene (I would like to see Lorelai and Luke get back together at some point though).

I think it is definitely time to pull the plug on Gilmore Girls. Because I truly believe the ratings are falling. The new write has a different style of writing and is having a problem of keeping up with the lasted writer Palladino. Christopher and Lorelai should have never gotten married. Rory should have never gotten weak in her character. Logan is turning to be more of a butt and their couple arguments are lame now. Luke and April cool. But why have her move to Mexico now. Why? Why even introduce April? Same with Chris why bring him back into Lorelai's life and they aren't going to stay together. Oh yeah the fight scene with Luke and Christopher totally unbelievable in the sense that it was lame, missing alot of drama. Lorelai is just a confused person. You are right about the phrases they are lame now. They are everyday scenarios. Not made up lingo anymore that catches you in a daze trying to figure out what the heck they just said. Same thing with Lorelai and Rorys' talking(lines), its not fast mumble jumble anymore. In the season DVD sets they included the words and definition of what the phrase meant but this year I'm sure the blanket will be empty.

yeah... i agree it has gone downhill... but im not gonna abandon it or anything. its my favorite show ever and i dont know what i would do without it! i think that lorelai and luke definately need to get back together, and even with the new producer, i really hope theres another season. besides, the show still has a lot of the same writers... its not like this new guy is writing all the scripts!!!... but it IS obvious the palladinos are gone... anyone noticed the chang ein music?> where did the la-las go>?

I would have to totally agree with you. I think the show has def gone down this season. I use to be obsessed with the show and now find that I don't care if I miss an episode and can generally pick up the plot the week after I missed. I thought that maybe it was just me and maybe it just wasn't interesting to me anymore but I am beginning to think it is the show that sucks. It doesn't have that humor to it anymore. There is also less mother daughter moments and more with the boyfriend. I dunno, I'm not into it as much anymore.
