I only caught the last 5 minutes, but it looked good.

I think the black guy was saying something like he has alot of respect for his ancestor.

And he has no resentment towards white people. I like that

I was watching Roots with my fella and there was a man on there that said 'White Devil' I told my partner to turn it off as it is impressionable to people who want want to avenge their forefathers and hold themselve back in the future.

I think people of all races, should get on, we all bleed the same colour. The colour of your skin should be a characteristic not a hindrence.

I dont like watching show like that as I feel that the people what had the hardship will probably cause a riot.

Yes slavery happened, get over it, life it what you make it.

If you are black and hold yourself back in life because you do not want to work for the white man, that is up to you.

I say the best form of revenge is sucess.

I work for a white man and I do not have this thing in my head 'he must have owned my ancestors'

The fact of the matter is, I am here, living trying to make something of myself.

I dont think I am owed anything... Only I can shape my future, I just hope others can do the same..

it told me quite a few things that i already knew, like slavery is not just about the white man and all the wicked and cruel things he did to the black race out of greed but it also opened my eyes to many new things. the way it was filmed was very neutral and allowed for all stories to be told. as a black lady from England it give me an insight as to why we are here.
the man that it followed asked all the right questions and came across as very knowledgeable within what he wanted to find out. and congratulations to c4 for yet again showing a programme that the other channels couldn't even be bothered to, as per usual. hope that answered your questions.
