definitely not a 3rd round pick and maybe a 2nd at worst. i picked him 10th overall last year and i won my league. marlins players are always a gamble but the OBP and the average will be there and with ramirez and uggla in front of him there will be plenty of RBIs as long as they have OK seasons

I have seen Miguel go bottom of first round top 2nd round. (honestly the only time he went second round it was a very good draft.) He should be a legit 8-12 pick. I promise you he will not last until the 3rd round unless your drafting against 6 year old girls

Cabrera as a 12th pick, good pick! Of course if you could have gotten him in the 3rd round, then that would have been incredible! But, you got a good first round pick with Cabrera at #12.

Well that "someone" is a moron. He's certainly not a 3rd round pick. You got him right where he should have gone. I have researched and combined over 150 mock drafts into an "average draft position" list and Cabrera is listed right at #12.

Wouldn't call it a steal, but it's a good pick at 12. 3rd round? Someone is jerking your chain.

hes half right. i feel that in a 12 man league, miggy aint a first round pick, but rather he is a 2nd round pick. whether in be pick 13 or somewhere in the middle. but he should slide into the 3rd round unless its a small league. 3b arent that hard to get because there are some pretty good ones, they arent like 2b where after utley the value drops a lot when the next best thing is cano.

3rd round of a 6 team league maybe. Look at his numbers and look at his lineup...now you try and do that with no help from your team. He shouuld NEVER fall out of the top 15 picks, period.

I think that he is a steal at the # 12 pick without a doubt he is very worthy of a 1st rund pick

according to yahoo draft analysis:
Miguel Cabrera (Fla - 3B) ave pick= 11.6 ave round=1.3
so...in your 12 team league he is a first rounder based on yahoo league drafts.
Your friend has no clue about baseball fantasy drafts.
