Besides the alcohol flush, it's possible that you're reacting to something in the drink. It could be colourings and flavourings as well as the basic ingredients themselves.
Try changing your drink to see if you still get the reaction. I go bright red from various things, including yeast in beer.
It could also be a sign that your liver isn't keeping up with metabolizing the alcohol. (It's called in-toxic-ation for a reason.)
Your body is sending you an important message. Don't ignore it.

Well I can't guarantee that this will help completely, but I am assuming that you have more of a pink undertone to your skin. I would suggest the times you know you are going to drink, to wear a foundation with a yellow undertone (if neck doesn't precisely match use a bronzer or a different powder on it) as this may help to tone the red down a bit. You could also try to apply a yellow concealer under your foundation (not huge amounts) just in the areas you know you might turn red. On top of all your foundation (regardless of which choice you go with) use a loose powder to help set it. I know this will help quite a bit because I did a glamor/makeover party last year on a group of 6 women who had a little much to drink. You can only imagine the amount of fun that was, but their before and after pictures really made a difference as far as their red faces went! Hope this helps at least a little. Good Luck!

I know someone who has this problem also and what they do is they will have a drink in their house when getting ready or before going out and wait for the red 'flush' to come and go and then go out drinking. Once the red cheeks have appeared they don't come back. They never go out drinking without having had a small drink before because if they do then they end up with the red cheeks. They only just appear after the first drink. It is a very strage thing!

The best way is that you should stop drinking alcohol.
Scientists have found that honey bees have some special kind of genes which can tolerate the side-effects of alcohol, also in some humans, these kinds of genes are found, one person may get weak lever due to drinking and other may not. May be you don't have that gene. Consult a skin specialist or a physician.

there's not a lot you can do I'm afraid... it's blood pressure.
green moisturiser works if you have red marks on your face, but due to the drink this is from your blood

it happens to me sometimes as well. There's noting you can actually do, except some beige or sand not to tan compact powder that you can have in your purse and apply it when the alcohol flush arrives! And avoid blush!!!

I've heard of this, 'alcohol flush'. Here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_flush_reaction
Doesn't sound like there's much you can prevent it, other than not to comsume alcohol. As for makeup to conceal the flush, I doubt there's anything that will. Sorry :(

How old are you? Do you experience a burning or itching sensation when this happens too? You could have a skin condition called rosacea. Check this out:

one element you are able to attempt is biofeedback to shrink the venture. you probable won't be able to repair it completely. in the adventure that your blood is rushing on your face, that's unlikely someplace else. in the adventure that your palms get chilly or your ft get chilly while your face gets warm, you are able to learn how to redirect your circulate to maintain issues in extra effective stability. After it slow, that's going to become automatic. They coach this kind of administration to those that've migrain issues and or who can use it to diminish their blood rigidity. in case you spot your palms or ft getting chilly, think of putting them in warm water or choosing up something heat. attempt this once you're in a chilly area yet no longer ingesting. in case you are able to heat up your palms and ft then, you are able to probable shrink your reaction to ingesting alcohol. superb of success signed philipwyliefan
