A is because you can use it with a singular verb.

ie. IS anybody home? ARE several people home? ARE few people going? ARE both kids going?

None of these words are pronouns, they are all either 'adjectives' or are 'descriptive' words used as adjectives. Sorry ... none of them is 'singular' either ... although you can say that 'anybody' is 'singular' because 'body' is a singular noun and that is the indicator for the type of verb you would be using with it in a sentence.
