Yes. His biased TV networks and more particularly his newspapers have far too much influence over UK elections. In 1992 the Murdoch owned "Sun" newspaper (or adult comic, come soft porn mag as I prefer to call it) claimed the Conservative victory for themselves saying "It was the Sun wot done it!", in their typical low brow style.
The last three Prime Ministers - Blair, Major and Thatcher have all had "audiences" with Murdoch almost as though he was royalty, and all have enjoyed his support and opinion making media coverage during their respective terms of office.
Blair won the 1997 election after soliciting Murdoch's support. Most political commentators in 1997 knew Labour were favourites to win, but thought the election would be a fairly close run thing. It was only after Blair got the Murdoch owned media on his side that it turned into a landslide.
One man should not have that kind of power to make and break governments. Unfortunately, Murdoch does.

The media in general and not just Rupert Murdoch, exert considerable influence upon the politics of any democracy. One of the most important parts of a democracy is a 'free press'. We do not have to read Murdoch newspapers or view Murdoch TV channels. No matter what we view or read, it will have an influence upon us. Where it not so, then major companies would not bother to advertise their products on TV and the radio or in newspapers. Advertising works and so too does propaganda and lies.
There is one small point I would like to make on the matter of our political beliefs. About two years ago I was working for a day at the Mori Poll offices in London and found a small pamphlet in their reception. This pamphlet dealt with their survey of young children in the age group 5 - 7 [pre-puberty]. What Mori discovered is that by age 6+ the children in their survey had already established their political belief systems and that no amount of propaganda would change them. Politicians and publishers of 'rags' are therefore, in many cases, preaching to an audience which has already made up it's mind.

Not really. Better him than Ted Turner- he is much more stable. Turner is in love with the UN and has given them much money. The UN is full of countries that would like to see us destroyed. Do you understand now?
