It is debatable that all societies have a certain amount of "programming" to them. That is was culture and tradition create, repetitive behaviors. However, it is a fairly weak stance if you mean Americans are all alike. This is obvious by our extreme political divides.

It looks like a number of Americans are looking at this question and rightly expressing their views. I only know one American - though Yahoo/MSM - and she is very nice and has a whole load of opinions about a whole load of things and is very intelligent.
I know a whole load of fellow Brits who are utter nobs.
