we have a mexican girl 23 years old that has been working for us for the past year. she speaks no english at all. she works 11 hours a day and is the only mexican there along with my mom and cousin. i try to converse with her to keep her from being bored but conversation is somewhat difficult. i know some spanish because i took 3 years in high school. we had some decent conversations before and i try to talk to her everyday. she only speaks when i talk to her and never talks to me. if i dont speak to her the whole day she will not talk to me. she is not a shy person. . should i just stop trying to speak to her.

She probably doesn't feel comfortable starting a conversation knowing your Spanish is rusty maybe she doesn't want to make you uncomfortable. I think you should continue to talk to her.
