Do you mean a mnemonic?

This is using something else to remember a phrase, it means a verse or formula intended to assist the memory.

A good example is for the colours of the rainbow: Roy G. Biv. Or another way to remember it is: Richard of York gave battle in vain.

Giving: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

Hi Pija,

There are a number of phrases that are really easy to remember; perhaps due to its deep meaning and lesson.. One of my favourites is 'Life is like a box of chocolate; you never know what you're gonna get'. I found it inspiring and insightful.
