I wanted to buy a think big dictionary, and checking a dictionary in a bookstore, and thought only a design is different, but different dictionary has a different meaning for each word......

Why does a different dictionary have a different meaning for each word? I'm so confused. I don't know which one I can trust. Which one can I trust?

Thank you!

I don't think it's possible for every dictionary to have a different meaning for every word. However, some words have several meanings and different ways to use them. A good dictionary will list all of them. I have a dictionary called Webster's New Dictionary. It is probably good enough for your age, but it is missing a lot of words, so it's just a 'basic' dictionary. Next time you think a dictionary is giving a different meaning for a word, read it very carefully.
