If you need a copy of your IEP, I would first start with the special ed department of the school district. I know on my district that IEP's are kept in the psycological records department. You could also call the school you attended and ask the special ed clerk were you would be able to get a copy. Hope it helps.

Retrieving your IEP records, depending on how long you've been out of school. If recently, the school might still have a copy, if not, the Speical Education Department would be the most logical department that would have a copy of your IEP.

to retrieve your IEP, you need to go and talk to your guidance counselor, and he or she will tell you more about retrieving it, but that is about all you do unless you have changed school, and then you have to the other schools you went to, but as long as you can prove, you ID that you are the student you can retrieve your IEP with no problem.

Contact your high school guidance office and request a copy of the IEP in writing. It may take awhile if it's archived.

You should be able to get a copy from your last school. They are supposed to keep records for five to seven years on special education students.
