She is in JV but she'll be entering Varisty next year and still uses her old racket. I'm looking for something nice looking with great performance but that will leave me some money in the bank account.

I saw Head Airflow but they're a little bit pricey.....

Not looking for a juniors racket either.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

well, normally I don't recommend wilsons, but it seems that you're looking for a women's racquet. Wilson also makes them "w line"
some, but not all of them cost less.

It depends on how she hits, Does she need more power or control? Also, look at her strokes, are they long strokes or short strokes. Also, is she comfortable with her old racket? If its light, try to stick with something light aswell. That way she doesn't have to adapt to it which can take a decent amount of time.

I have a babolat pure drive which offers excellent control and power, but will definately leaves a dent in your wallet (around 200 bucks). Head rackets are good, I had one before my babolat. If you go to Modells or any other sporting good shop they tend to have pretty good deals on tennis rackets.

Hope that helps

Maybe you can try out some demo rackets at your nearest pro shop. But if your cheking out the head airflow, you're looking at rackets with a short to medium swing ratio. Light, maybe a mid-plus to oversized face.

You should let her pick out a racquet herself. I'd say take her to the Tennis and Golf Company. Towards the back of the store, they have an area where you can demo any racquet you want there and hit it off of the ball machine. I think that would be a good way to get your girlfriend a racquet based upon weight and her liking.

Hey I've got one of the Head Titaniums, which wasn't too expensive and is really a great racquet. You mentioned you looked at the airflows so I presume you are looking for a lighter racquet, well the titaniums are light but still gives a lot of power.

Dude, you'd really be better off with a woman for your girlfriend. A tennis racket doesnt say much and you'd get bored with it quickly. But I guess at least you wouldn't have to buy it dinner and presents all the time though....

Well as her boyfriend you can act as a real life tennis racket too. its kinda of a personal thing, she hits you and then shes done with you. you will get old just like a racket, and get dumped eventually. Good luck with your girlfriend and her Old racket
