Northern Cardinals ( Cardinalis cardinalis) mate and occupy an area for life. They do not migrate although they will occasionally relocate when food is scarce.
There is nothing remarkable about having them show up in any two different places unless you live in an area where there are no Cardinals such as the Pacific Northwest but they are moving ever north and west.
Enjoy them but don't read more into it than coincidence.
