dial up is slow..
1000kb=1mb
thats why..
kb - kilobit
ps - per second.
dial up is probably 28.8kbps - 32kbps
but a broadband usually is 1mbps - 100mbps
hahahaha..
u can guess the speed on ur own hehehe

Most Telephone Service are Analog and don't interfere with High-speed Didtial Services and sometimes you need a filter to remove the static from the Analog Phone Line. Yes you can still freely use the Phone while you are cerfing the internet. If you use Highspeed dial-up (often cheaper but not by much) your top speed is often only 56 kbps and Normal DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) runs Normally 350 kbps up and 1.5 Mbps Down.

Dial-up is slow. No, you won't be able to use your phone. Please include your current internet's speeds vs what the other person is offering (this is typically given in Mbps or Kbps). Then I can tell you how slow it is going. And $45 a month is pretty high unless your internet is super fast (I pay $43 and get 12Mbps).

There are 1024 Kb in 1 Mb.
If you want to figure out your actual download speed, take however many Kb there are and divide by 8 (there are 8 bits in a Byte)...this will give you your KBps download rate.

there is a great difference...kbps means that your internet connection transfers data at a speed of kilobytes per second...or a thousand bytes per second..while with mbps, your connection works at rates of 100,000bytes per second...mbps iis obviosly better..a lot of dsl(direct subscriber line) services are out there...sick of dial up...go dsl

kpbs means kilobyte per second whereas mbps means mega byte per second.
and megabytes is larger and going by this, megabytes per second is faster as per second it transmit more info than kbps..
get mbps..
