Alright pitcure this, you already know that you are mildly retarded, this explains why you're highschool marks are so low, You are popular and hated at the same time- but you can only be admired from afar- because if they spent one day with you, they'd know you are being affected by mild mental retardation. The girl you like likes you back. But then it hits you, like it has already hit me. No matter what, you have a brain capacity which is much lower than the average persons. They don't know- my family, "friends", teachers, Doctors- they don't know that I know I am mildly reatrded. I take anti-depressants and I tell my doctor of retardation many times. He doesn't listen, neither does my family. In a few years they will though, when I still won't amount to sh*t. What would you do? I have been depressed since 5th grade. 6th grade heavy depression. 7th I found friends, 9th I failed so many courses,10th failed courses went to summer school. I know I have the mental age of a 7 year old.

Watch the movie "Borat: Cultural Learning's of America to Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan", you 'll too see that retardation can be funny :) and not the end of the world.
Live your life when you can and do not let anyone tell you who you are and what you are limited to. It is really just you who can limit "you". Mild retardation is only a label that people have put on you but believing in yourself and knowing that you are a unique individual is something that nobody can take away! So work with what you have and don't sweat the small stuff :))

Yes, well you said that your family, friends, and teachers won't help you. Then it's time to find someone who will. I am hoping your school has a counselor on staff and that they are someone you like. That sounds like a good idea to me because that's what they get paid to do.
And good luck with the girl. It might be worth a try just to talk to her. Don't mention you think you're retarded. You certainly do not write as though you are retarded in any sense of the word!! I hope you find a counselor. Someone with your computer and writing skills might not qualify as retarded. You write intelligently, and that's for sure!! Speak out about your depression until someone has to acknowledge you. Sometimes you have to fight to be heard. You are worth it.8-)

ok, they will figure it out sometime. you may have the mental age of a 7 year old, but that doesnt mean you have to get all pouty like one. you should find more friends that wont judge you on who yuo are, and they'll make you happier. and you can try for the girl. if she doesnt accept it, that is her fault and you really shouldnt take it that hard because she doesnt know what she's talking about.

dont be sad, let it be known by many, that it is not the mental age that count. no matter if you are mildly retarded, you still have an insight. it is what small but good and positive things you do in life that matters.
