Just wondering will my broadband connection be slowed down if two or three people connecting from the same wireless router at the same time?

What I mean is that when I am using my wireless modem router and some other people are loging-on wirelessly, (through WEP, for example) will my connection be slowed down?

Yes, sharing bandwidth with multiple people on the same router will slow down ANY internet connection, not just cable.

The previous poster is confusing a common issue with cable internet.

Cable bandwidth is based on the amount of users in a particular area, not just on your router. These areas are called "nodes". The more people with cable internet on that node, the less bandwidth each person gets to use.

If you were to have several users on a wireless router using DSL or satellite, you would have the same reduction in bandwidth that you would with cable.

Yes.. The are using bandwidth also. The more people using a connection the more the response to each user starts to degrade a bit. That is why I would never use cable. More people using it the slower it goes.
