can anyone tell me about thier experince going to universal studios mardi gras?im thinkin about going

Well, we spent our day at the parks and then stayed for the Mardi Gras party. We didn't go into the concert area because I believe you have to pay, but we stood outside of it and jammed out there with the rest of the non-payers. The parade was awesome! I have so many beads.

It is nothing but a parade that features floats that were used in New Orleans Mardi Gras. They throw beads and work the crowd up a little. The parade starts at 7:00 pm. On Saturday nights they always have special concerts that start about 8:30 or 9:00. There is NO extra charge for the concert, but it is a lot of standing. Check the Universal Studios website to see who will be performing. This year they've had Taylor Hicks, Wynonna Judd, The Temptations and the Four Tops, Chris Doughtry, KC and the Sunshine Band as well as others. If you're coming, you need to hurry. Mardi gras celebration is almost over for this year.

I went once when I was 10. It was fun, but nothing really special. I guess if you really like the whole Mardi Gras concept, it'd be entertaining. But otherwise... try somewhere else, like IOA or Bush Gardens. Now that's fun stuff!

save your money unless you wanna see whoever is performing that night.. its really not worth the money
