I took a photo of this plant's leaf. Here it is.

right now it's low to the ground and a bit bushy.. by low, i mean it's basically ground level...
i dug a few up, but want to be sure that it's a weed before i pull up the rest..

This looks like red or sheep's sorrel. You can eat it but its not worth the trouble. It is a weed so go ahead and pull it up. Definately sorrel. Looked it up in my weed book after I answered. Feel free to remove it.
