I think she is more down to earth than the Queen of my country, that being the UK.Our queen is stuck up, not in touch with the real world. She thinks the whole world smells of fresh paint. I think she should be be-headed. LOL

Well, I think that most Americans would not know who the Queen of the Netherlands is. That aside, it is an entirely different situation. The Netherlands is by comparison a very new monarchy, while the UK's monarchy is arguably over 1,000 years old.
HM Queen Beatrix seems to be a very good person, down to earth and very friendly. She is however, extremely wealthy, possibly at least as much as HM Queen Elizabeth. HM Queen Beatrix owns, (personally, not through the State) large areas of Manhattan in New York City, plus a bunch of other real estate.
Over all though, she seems like a very good person.

Oh dear how sad that someone claiming to be human can be so derisive about our Queen. As to the Dutch royal family, it doesn't matter a fig what Americans think of them. An American opinion counts for nothing in Europe.

I for one do not think too much of any royalty. Isn't it funny that European countries who are Representative democracies will hang on to a royal family? As for the queen of Holland, it sounds like she has been visiting the "coffee shops" in her country.

Remember one of the reasons America was created was to escape the tyranical rule of European Kings and Queens. Then again the King of Rock-n-Roll is American as well as the King of Beers. Its nice they have a queen.

Our Queen Bush is in Mexico today, I did not know Holland had one also. That lady Queen in England is OLD. But she is nice to some of the peasantry.
