Kenya, Tanzania has a healthy, invigorating climate and you need feel no concern for their general health during your stay. The sun in East Africa is hotter than you may imagine, like now we are at 28 degrees celsius in Nairobi. Zanzibar is hot and humid. One can get sun burnt even on a cloudy day. Please take care, and on first exposure, use a protective lotion.
Piped water supplies are safe practically everywhere but local advice should be taken when on safari. You will find that in most safari lodges, there will be bottled drinking water on your bedside table. There are small field hospitals and clinics in most parts of the countries, but it is advisable to purchase all your requirements in Nairobi before setting out on a tour. A note to take is, always use a mosquito net or repellants while you are sleeping then after your safari please remember to take Malaria preventives as prescribed by your physician for the required weeks after your departure from East Africa.

Hi I was in both Kenya and Tanzania last year and my GP recommended:
Tetanus
Hepatitis A
Typhoid
Polo
Also an anti malaria tablet, I took one call Maleron.
For Tanzania you MUST have a Yellow Fever jab and take the certificate with you as they will need to see it.

One shot you will need for Yellow Fever. If it's been over ten years since your last Titnus, you may have get that. Also antibiotics for Maleria
Those are the shots I had to get. Not sure about the Yellow Fever though, but the travel company would not sign us if we didn't get that shot.
You'll be bitten by a lot of mosquitoes, so better to be safe then sorry.

yellow fever, though officially it is eradicated.Take some anti-malaria medication and some anti-mosquito cream.I would avoid eating beef and mutton, but you can have chicken and fish.
Not a big problem as it is made to sound by the 'travel advisories'

Get a serious doc.
You will probably have to take some vaccines and have to be ready to daily swallow some malaria pills.
Get yourself a mosquitoes net before your first night.
Hope you won't have to endure malaria, enjoy your SAFARI.
