Do you have to click the maximize button to make the windows open to full size? If so here's how I fixed that problem. With mouse,left click and hold each corner of the window and drag it to full screen size then click file,( in the upper left corner)then hold down Shift key. In the file menu at bottom while still holding shift key down, click Close. Now try opening a new window and see if it's full size.

the other answers are correct, if your yahoo page is too small, but you didn't state whether it was too small or too large.
if it is too large for your screen it may be that your video drivers are not installed, or are out of date.
