I am 3 months pregnant. I am pretty small, I am 5'3" and weigh 105lbs... My doctor said its normal to gain only about 3 pounds during the 1st Trimester, but then again everyone is different. I put on 5 lbs on puprose so I was a bit more "healthy" and able to handle the morning sickness and stuff. So, I'm 110 and thats just fine with me and its been steady at that. It's the look I'm worried about... People say they look "bloated and stuff" but I am starting to wonder if I am actually showing (because it wrinkles when I sit like 2 small rollies of fat, yuck you know??) because I thought it would be more of a hard little bump. Or is it my recent cravings and eating that is showing? How can I tell if I need to stop eating what I crave so much or if most women who show have it act like fat when they sit and stuff... What did everyone elses look like? Any stories, etc would be great...

It could be a little of both. I made the mistake of giving in to every craving when I was pregnant and I had a hard time losing the weight afterwards and got very frustrated. The second time around I was smarter and didn't give into my cravings nearly as much. I think it's a bunch of baloney when people say that their craving is their baby's craving. In my opinion that's just an excuse to pig out along with eating for two.

There is a woman at work who is only 8 weeks pregnant with her 2nd child, she looks like she is about 4 months already. She is about 5'6" and would weigh about 120lbs. I am 8 weeks pregnant also and its my third child. I only have a little bump, just like i am bloated, premenstrual bloated. I am 5'10" and weigh approximately 110lbs. With my first pregnancy i didnt even know until i was 10 weeks pregnant and while i didnt show until i was nearly 5 months, by the time i was due it wasnt big but it was really tight. With my second pregnancy i didnt know until i was about 18 weeks and i had put on a bit of weight ,about 15lbs, but by the time that was over i had lost the 15lbs and more. I never really understood the whole-of course i am fat, im pregnant. You probably look fine and healthy, you are a healthy weight and as long as you dont gain too much more then i wouldnt worry. If your tummy looks fat, dont worry, if your thighs start to rub together, then you worry. Also dont be too surprised at how many guys will find you sexy with your big belly full of arms and legs. Just eat regular meals, have the occassional splurge but try to keep it at a minimum. You can even lose weight during a pregnancy and still be healthy.

Trust me on this, it doesnt look like fat, i bet alot of people already know you are pregnant, just because it sits differently, not because you've told them.

Before I actually started showing, I just looked fat. For me, this was the worst part of pregnancy. I felt pregnant but didn't look pregnant yet so I thought everyone was judging me. I think it's normal not to show a hard bump immediately, but you are still gaining baby weight. Give it time and you'll stomach will start to pop out unmistakeably. I know once that happened for me, all my self-esteem issues melted away and I took pride in my new changing body. Now I wear tops that purposely show my bump!

First of all--any fat you gain in the beginning is all you--the baby starts getting teh fat later--it is super tiny right now--so the rolls of fat are you--it feels like a hard bump when teh baby gets bigger and then you are feeling the baby's body--right now--you are just retaining water--sort of bloating--like on your period--and sort of cushioning up your body--the fat is not going to the baby yet..Eat what you crave in limits--your body knows what it needs but don't get out of control..some people cannot eat in teh first trimester and others eat too much to stop feeling sick..do what works for you--but don't pig out because you'll have to lose that weight later..

i think of the quickest thank you to shed pounds is on a low carb weight loss plan, yet that's no longer in basic terms right geared as much as you merely immediately while you're breast feeding. the only undertaking with that weight loss plan is once you start up ingesting carbs back, the load comes decrease back. while you're breastfeeing, you will lose the toddler weight, yet this takes months and you'd be able to desire to consume properly and workout. To lose it completely, you would be able to desire to do it sluggish. dropping a million - 2 kilos a week could desire to be the purpose - you will save it off longer this type. cardio and ingesting properly - this could be a thank you to do it. yet heavily, supply your self a while! you merely had a toddler! Your physique replaced into under pressure for 9 months, supply it a injury. with any luck your husband will understand. You deserve a injury!

I'm pretty much in the same boat that you are. I'm 5'5" and weighed 112 before I got pregnant. I'm 11w3d now and I've put on about 4-5 pounds. I look like I have a soft gut but I'm sure it's party due to the little one growing like a weed as well as my extra nutrient intake. Either way, I'm loving every second of it!

With my 1st one, it was like I was getting fat and not pregs. My best friends went through this too. However, with my 2nd I was 6 weeks and wearing my maternity pants. I was showing more a lot earlier the 2nd time. My Dr said that was normal. The elasticity of your muscles is less after the 1st pregnancy. So the baby falls forward sooner and you show sooner.

Congratulations and Good Luck. God Bless

Hun, you're a 110 pounds. I HIGHLY doubt you've got any fat on your stomach that is "rolling" over. You're so tiny there's no way because you've gained 5 pounds you're now "fat". Please. You're 3 months pregnant for godsake! Stop worrying about how "fat" you look, cause I guarantee you don't look fat at all and you just look pregnant!
