their teeth in? I see way too many people come in here without their teeth, is this an acceptable accessory to leave at home?

I once worked with a certified sociopath (my then boss chose to overlook this one little blurb and hire the weirdo) and one day he came to work an hour late (we were reference librarians - what's more PUBLIC!?) and when I went to his desk to try to figure out what STATE he was in so he could go to the public desk and do his job, he said, "Aw. Nuts! I forgot my TEETH!" and flashed those fat gums at me. I threw up in my mouth.

A nasty question deserved a nasty true story. Sorry, folks. I had to live it. At least you only had to read it. Yes, he finally fired himself before any permanent damage was done to anyone...

Least I think no damage was done...

They think this because that is the way they were brought up. They also do this because they have no dentures. Teeth are considered a luxury to some. It's as shame, but poor dental care is still common and acceptable in some areas. I live in Kentucky and see this often. I feel so sorry for children who will grow up with dental problems and then, later in life, will have missing, cavity filled, broken, or no teeth.

Some people may have just had their teeth removed by dentist and need a little more healing time before inserting false ones...

Maybe they are broken...no $ to get them fixed

The economy is not up and running well for all......
No health insurance to help pay for them...
I don't like it either, but???? Can't judge until you know all the facts...maybe they are embarrassed but they must keep on with living/daily chores. You smile today....ok? I think I am gonna go take a nap...........byeeeeeeee

Where do you work? Sounds like a fun place to be. People spilling dirt, people walking around without teeth. Craziness!

i do no longer think of that's. maybe strolling around shirtless on the sea coast is nice yet no longer on the mall or at artwork. Are you asking why it rather is beside the point for women human beings to stroll around topless and not adult men? women human beings do no longer understand how distracting breasts are.

I would think that would be the "must have" accessory - the one you NEVER leave home without.

I know what you mean, here in Jacksonville, Middleburg Florida, no one has teeth or one black one in the front.
