I know you don't want to hear this, but you can't and you shouldn't even try because that is against the acceptable use policy at your school. They have sites blocked for a reason and trying to bypass their security will get you banned from using any of their their computers and probably even suspended or expelled. They track everything you do and you will get caught.

Wow, I'm not sure what IT department would let these programs be used at all, but it is good that they are blocked now. Those programs pose a HUGE security threat to the school's network. You cannot use them if they have had their access blocked. And, quite honestly, I'm very suprised you have not been suspended or expelled for your use of them.

Looks like they busted you. Its simple to block. The IT department just disabled the ports on the firewall that allow the kind of traffic limewire etc. uses. So they aren't "banned", just not allowed outside connectivity. Sorry dude.

Hi. My guess would be that the homework and research sites work, no? Unless you own the computer and pay for the network service you have to live with whatever they let you do or go to. (Wow, four different two letter words that all contain "o".)
