Is there a wire or connection that we can replace from an auto parts store instead of taking to the garage?

On newer vehicles the window motor is pop riveted to the painted inner door skin, therefore a poor ground. Remove the door panel. Unplug the motor & check for power. If there is power to the motor, take a jump wire & ground the motor to a good ground sorce elsewhere. If this doesn't solve your problem, then I would look at replacing the motor.

It's not a fuse if the other windows operate because they aren't on independent circuits. It's not the switch if none of the switches operate the window. You either have a broken wire with no power to the switch, a bad ground, or the motor has burnt itself out.
You could fix either if you possess some mechanical aptitude!
The electrical could be done with a test light and the motor requires disassemly and reassembly of the door panel!

Since it's not working from either switch it's either the fuse or possibly the motor. Check your fuses. If the fuse is blown you can fix it pretty easily. If not, you'll probably need professional help.
