The question that you should ask is this..Can you trust the government with your DNA....
Lets say there is a big profile murder and the police don't have a clue who is doing it, the police is pressure by the press and people to find the killer, and then one day the police kick down your door because it was your DNA that found (planted) on the crime scene of a murder.
But you didn't do it...But the police had to put somebody in jail and the cops will get a nice promotion for the arrest.
Nobody want to hear that you are not guilty, remember everybody in jail say that they didn't do it...
So trusting the government with DNA may not be the best ideal.

It's already in effect here in the U.S. and I think it's an excellent idea. The only people who would disagree about it are the ones that live off of fraud and deception. And about Big Brother--- another EXCELLENT idea. Thank God for surveillance cameras. Some crimes would never have been solved if it were not for the cameras that the perp was unaware of. Look at that one where the guy abducts a 13 y/o girl near a car wash. How about the recent (and HORRIBLE) beating and robbery of a 101 y/o woman in the lobby of her building! More crimes would be solved quickly if there were even more cameras all over the place. If you live right, you don't have to worry about being caught on camera.

I support it because it would prevent the crime of witchcraft. If the person's DNA print code was printed on their national lD or passport it would prevent identity theft as well.
Establishing a number of DNA prototypes and putting it on an ID card would help to find similar and compatible body parts in a foreign country if there has been an acident.
The abuse and abberation of this is that "genetic prototypes" be established for jobs. The genetics and the education and experience and nationality of the indivuduals may vary. Granting jobs because of genetic similarity to someone who had the job without the corresponding education, or even doing genocides of people when one member has
committed a crime, is the abuse of this.
Doing the DNA of the eye drops of a witch or ear lobes of a bodysnatcher (compared to the DNA in the rest of the body) would contain these crimes to people who are very closely related and protect the rest of the world from the racist tribes.

You are only looking at one side of the issue. Ask yourself this, what else would such a database be used for?
Governments change all the time, and not always for the better. What was once used for the common good, could easily be used to keep a population in control. Indeed, dependent upon future experiments, it could be that certain gene sequences determine what people are prone to do or think. As laws change, it could be that we see a new form of discrimination, one based upon your DNA sequence, which could determine your ultimate station in life, or whether or not you're permitted to live.

No, I do not support a national database on all peoples' DNA. It'll be just a matter of time before the gov't starts denying you benefits based upon your DNA makeup. Then they might start making it illegal for certain people to breed. Then they might discover a gene that makes you crave sex with underage boys. Could they arrest you before you can even think of a crime?

I guess the intention of the government is noble in fact it may really help and solve problems. If said issue was granted how would you know that the planet we're living is safe and secure. If you could guarantee that I guess i'll say YES for it.
