Keifer Sutherland has signed for another three years- this being the first of the three. We were having this discussion last night- yes he signed for three years, but will it be as the producer (which he has been since it first aired) or does that mean as an actor in the show? But anyways, the show 24 will be on for at least another two seasons following this one.

My prediction is the his daughter, Kim, will become a CTU agent and Jack will die and she will take over his reign as star of the program.
That is why she has had so many character building storylines in the first few seasons, we are seeing her past before she becomes the star of the show, we are seeing her blossom into a killing machine (Remember when Jack made her shoot that guy in season 2 - we seen her first kill)
This is just a prediction of mine though and is not based on fact.
Man, I love that program.

im gonna say the obviously stupid and go for 18. that makes it 24 series{i think}.

I read that he signed up for another 5 'days' - day 6 is on now so I presume that means another 4 to go
